as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of AL specializes in protein x-ray crystallography and solution of atomic structure of pharmaceutical targets including the most difficult transmembrane proteins such as but not confined to the members of the transient receptor potential (TRP) cation channels. After finishing as pharmacist at the University of Szeged (USZ), Hungary she continued research on different Sarcoplasmic Reticulum Ca2+-ATPases (SERCA isoforms). Then, to better understand the various responses of the immune system and to gain hands on experiences in protein-protein interactions at the molecular levels, she mapped hotspots of virus-host interactions by x-ray crystallography at the Univ. of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver. After returning to Europe she joined to a consortium at the University of Leeds, UK, which was successful in solution of number of prokaryotic membrane transporters at the atomic levels. Currently, as a lecturer of the USZ she serves also as an advisor of large-scale purification/crystallization of problematic membrane proteins and her team will carry out x-ray analysis of TRP channels for the AHL. To better understand docking of small molecules to their pharmaceutical targets, she leads and supervises the crystallographic team that contributes to structure based drug design platform and solves 3D structure of pharmaceutical targets of interest, important for the treatment of carcinomas, and neurodegenerative diseases, including determination of atomic coordinates of molecules involved in chronic pain, inflammations and neuropathies.
