Oláh, Zoltán, Ph.D. (impact factor: 260+, independent citation: 2100+)

Founder and CEO of Acheuron Ltd. (AL), Szeged, Hungary and Forget-Me-Not B2B Ltd, Szeged Hungary. He has founded the Pharmacoidea Ltd., Szeged Hungary, as well. Currently he is associate professor at the Department of Chemistry at University of Miskolc where his task is to build up the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.

Dr. Oláh accumulated significant know-how, management and logistic experiences in the field of prevention of neuronal degeneration, pain, inflammations and neuropathies. Another major R&D activities of Dr. Oláh is prevention/cure amyloid diseases such as AD, PD, and type 2 diabetes, which are produced by protein aggregates. He started up plant genomics projects on herbs important in therapy of pain, neuropathy and other diseases leading to neuronal degeneration.

Prior to reintegration to the scientific community of Szeged in 2005, Dr. Oláh managed two mega-projects, “Gene Therapy of Pain” (Methods of Treating Chronic Pain, USA patent, 6,596,269, 2003), and the “molecular neurosurgery”, a patented pain therapeutic technology, teaching application of resiniferatoxin (RTX) in cancer pain (USA patent, (US 8,338,457, 2012 (previously published as PCT/US01/09425, 2001)) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, USA. Both bench-to-bedside projects demonstrate that Dr. Oláh knows the pharmaceutical drug discovery arena and he is able to manage discovery projects with excellence from scratch to clinical trial. In addition to heuristic abilities, he has hands-on knowledge of new drug and technology registrations, as required by the US Food and Drug Administration.

In Szeged, while he preserved his influence to the ongoing clinical trial network of “molecular neurosurgery” at the NIH (http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00804154?term=rtx&rank=1), he has organized an international innovation cluster from scientists, clinicians and business partners.
